Business Analyst - CRM and Marketing

About the role -

As a Business Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in identifying, improving and developing technology solutions that drive our strategic goals. You will interview stakeholders and gather and compile user requirements to understand the technology solutions they need. By applying proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills you rill help the business make good technology decisions and will also be proactive about looking for new technologies to optimize business processes. The Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in ensuring IT’s understanding of business requirements and will assist in the implementation process and ensure appropriate adoption of solutions are being met.

Responsibilities -

• Conduct interviews to gather user requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other method

• Identify and establish scope and parameters of requirements analysis on a project-by-project basis to define project impact, outcome criteria, and metrics

• Work with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements

• Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements-gathering processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes

• Preparation of requirement documentation (functional specification document, use case, change request, process flow diagrams), use case analysis, gap analysis and user training

• Working with architecture, software engineering and client subject matter experts, documenting the state of the business and technical architecture

• Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary

• Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements– verbally or through written documentation

Requirements -

The successful applicant will have the following experience and skills:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent experience

• 3+ years experience in business analysis or systems analysis

• A strong understanding of at least one business function in the firm, as well as a broader understanding of other areas

• Proficiency in business applications, data usage and management

• Ability to liaison between lines of business and the development team, while working with a wide range of stakeholders and collaborating with your team

• Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals

• Experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, Technical Analyst or a related discipline with an emphasis on delivering cutting edge technology within finance

• Superior verbal and written communication and negotiation skills with the ability to forge lasting relationships at all levels of seniority

• Experience of working with Agile Development teams

• Up to 10% travel per year

• Experience in retail banking or financial services industry is a plus
